| About the BrandKashi Company was founded in 1984 on the faith that every one has the power to make healthful changes. The San Diego-based company’s mission is to provide great tasting, all natural, and modern foods that enable humans to achieve optimal health, wellness, and weight management goals. All Kashi merchandise are natural, minimally processed, and free of highly refined sugars, artificial additives, and preservatives.
The Name “Kashi” In 1984, when Kashi Company founders Philip and Gayle Tauber devised their distinctive Seven Whole Grains and Sesame blend, they considered assorted names for the product: Gold’n Grains, Kushi, Graino… Finally, they decisive on Kashi–a synthesis of “kashruth” or kosher and “Kushi” the last name of the founders of Macrobiotics (a whole foods way of eating/living).
Later, they ran into that the word “Kashi” has a heap of significations around the world. In Russian, the name means porridge. In Hebrew, the word kashruth signifies simple or pure food. In Japanese, Kashi implies energy food. And in Chinese, it means happy food. To the company, Kashi means purity and healthful nutrition, and that’s what you’ll find in their distinctive blend of Seven Whole Grains and Sesame. Kashi merchandise are foods for a balanced life.

A Consumer’s Report: Rate It a Best Buy By Samuel Chell t’s a close call, but if you’re someone who eats breakfast in transit, Kashi Granola Bars have an edge over both the Nutrigrain too-sweet entries and the crumbly Nature Valley competitors. Neither a treat nor a treatment, Kashi Granola bars are light and just right–a way to get started without either residual guilt over a 7 A.M. candy bar or aversion to grandma’s recommended fiber remedy. One warning: they go down easy, so don’t take more than a single one with you in the car (or you could wind up scarfing down all six bars between traffic lights). Also, Amazon ships these three-buck packages in a generous-sized box, which may strike some consumers as ecologically irresponsible (wish I’d saved these boxes for a recent move of my mother-in-law. I think I ended up paying more for comparable new ones than the cost of the granola bars).

Kashi Chewy Granola Bars-Peanut Peanut Butter By EEP The Kashi Granola Bars that I purchased recently are a wonderful product. They are satisfying as a snack or breakfast, when you are on the run. They also come in handy as part of a daily lunch. They are chewy and full of peanuts and very filling. Great way to start a day!!

Pretty good By T. Picklesimer These granola bars are pretty good and healthy for you, but they are personally my least favorite out of the three granola bars that Kashi makes. I would recommend the Trail Mix or the Honey Flax Almond ones over these, but these are still an excellent choice.
